--- Averages - now published for the First XI and the Second XI - follow the Link --- "Mixed Results again" (28/08/10) - The Firsts had a great win over Vernons with Mick Brooks taking 6 for 15. A depleted Seconds fell apart on a damp wicket to a good St Annes side, and all hopes of promotion are probably gone.

First XI Played 19 Won 10 Lost 6 NR 3 Bat 12 Bowl 35 Pts 143 Second XI Played 18 Won 9 Lost 6 NR 3 Bat 10 Bowl 37 Pts 134 *Note that Harris Park have withdrawn from Division Five and all Points won are expunged for all Teams --- Junior Squad News- The Junior Squad Pages are now updated and will contain Team News with a Link from the Junior Fixtures. --- Crabtree Cup Winners !!! - Kirkham & Wesham Cricket Club won their first Trophy for 75 years after an amazing victory over Vernons on Sunday 1st August. Great bowling and fielding restricted Vernons to 115 - wickets were shared between Imran Desai (3-25), James Wilson (2-9), Javed Patel (3-29) and Moshin Patel (1-11) with Irfan Tailor taking 3 catches behind the stumps. Irfan then hit 20 off his first over as Kirkham quickly moved onto 48 for 1, before collapsing to 63 for 8 as wickets tumbled and the game looked lost. But Imran Desai and Zabir Patel came together to knock off the winning runs in front of an excited crowd of Kirkham players and supporters. Imran Desai was voted Man of the Match by the Sponsors for his 3 for 25 and 30 not out. Many Thanks to Croston Cricket Club for their hospitality and to the many Kirkham and Wesham CC supporters who cheered the team to this fantastic win.
